1.   What does bespoke jewellery mean?

   Simply put,  bespoke jewellery is a ring/pendant/bracelet/bangle/earrings designed and made exclusively for you.  At Blair and Sheridan we specialise in all types of bespoke (also known as commissioned) fine jewellery.  Our expertise covers everything from diamond or Lab Grown diamond engagement,  wedding, eternity & dress rings to pearl strands,  diamond/coloured stone pendants and classic stud or drop earrings.  We take on board any creative ideas or personalisation you would like to include,  however,  we are equally happy to make suggestions and offer guidance in this area also.

2.   Can you make a wedding ring to fit my existing engagement ring?

   Absolutely!  Regardless of where you bought your engagement ring,  our expert staff at Blair and Sheridan can create a wedding band that will complement and fit around it no matter how intricate or unusual the design.  When necessary we can offer 3D Computer Aided Design to create photo realistic renders,  a 360° video, or a 3D model of your ring/jewellery in resin or wax.

3.   Are custom-made rings and jewellery really expensive?

   At Blair and Sheridan we have control over the entire process of your commission as we boast a skilled team of in-house designers,  goldsmiths,  stone setters and CAD designers.  We cut out the huge overheads of larger ‘chain’ jewellery shops and deal directly with suppliers in the diamond,  precious stone and metal industries.  This eliminates the ‘middle man’ and allows us to offer you the best quality and value hand-picked stones and metals exclusively for your bespoke ring and jewellery designs.  Ultimately we work alongside you to an agreed spending limit from the outset.

4.   Can jewellery be recycled into new designs?

   The short answer is yes…  Heirloom (passed down) rings and jewellery are perfect for remodelling into new designs.  Yellow and white gold is suitable for melting down to re-purpose into a custom piece.  In a similar fashion;  pearls,  diamonds,  coloured stones and gems can be incorporated into a bespoke jewellery creation.  Palladium and platinum are not suited for melting down but can be scrapped and the value offset against any commission.  Blair and Sheridan can take you through the process of remodelling whether you know exactly what you are looking for or looking for some inspiration.  See our galleries of bespoke rings and jewellery for some ideas of what is possible.
