Meet Kelvin – Blair & Sheridan Joins the Scotties in the City Art Trail

This summer, we’re delighted to be taking part in one of Glasgow’s most exciting public art events – Scotties in the City.

As proud sponsors of Kelvin, our beautifully decorated Scottie Dog sculpture, we’re thrilled to be supporting this fantastic city-wide trail while helping to raise awareness and funds for Maggie’s, an incredible charity providing practical, emotional and social support to people living with cancer and their families.

Meet Kelvin

You’ll find Kelvin standing proudly outside Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, where he’ll be welcoming visitors throughout the trail. Designed and hand-painted by talented Glasgow artist Paul Kennedy, Kelvin depicts the vibrantly coloured koi that can be seen in the Kibble palace pond at Glasgow’s Botanic Gardens jut up from the river Kelvin. Watching Paul bring the sculpture to life was a fascinating process, and we’re incredibly proud to see his finished design now on display for everyone to enjoy.

Why We Got Involved

At Blair & Sheridan, we’ve been part of Glasgow’s West End for more than 14 years. As a business built on craftsmanship, creativity and community, sponsoring a Scottie Dog felt like the perfect opportunity to support an initiative that brings people together while raising money for a truly worthwhile cause. We hope Kelvin brings a smile to everyone who visits him over the coming weeks.

About Scotties in the City

Scotties in the City is a free public art trail taking place across Glasgow, featuring dozens of uniquely designed Scottie Dog sculptures created by artists from across Scotland.

Visitors can explore the city, discover each sculpture, learn about its artist and sponsor, and unlock rewards and experiences along the way using the official trail app.

The trail launched on 18th June and runs until 16th August, giving families, visitors and locals plenty of time to discover every Scottie across the city.

You can find out more about the trail, download maps and access the official app via the Scotties in the City website.

Supporting Maggie’s Glasgow

One of the most rewarding aspects of the trail is that it supports Maggie’s.

Maggie’s provides free expert care and support to anyone affected by cancer, offering practical advice, emotional support and welcoming spaces for people and their loved ones whenever they need it. We’re honoured to play a small part in helping raise awareness of the invaluable work Maggie’s does throughout the UK.
